The power of touch has always fascinated me. I remember hearing a story when I was studying psychology in college about two sets of lab rats in a study. The rats in the lower cages had lower cholesterol and blood pressure than the rats in the upper cages.
The experimenters could not figure out what was causing the difference until a lab assistant finally admitted to petting the rats in the lower cages! I first became interested specifically in massage over a decade ago when I was a receptionist in a chiropractic
clinic that offered massage. When people came in for their massage they were stiff and sore and stressed. As they left after their massage they would be walking more lightly and breathing more deeply. It was amazing to see! I have had it in the back of my
mind since then to become an LMT myself and I am thrilled that the time has finally come. I am so excited to use the power of touch and the gift of massage to facilitate healing and health. I especially like using my skills to help alleviate headaches and increase a range of motion.
I love spending time with my husband and two daughters, reading, singing, and playing the guitar.
